Application Instructions for RTV Silicone:
1. Prepare: Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry. Thoroughly remove any old gasket material, oil, grease, and dirt.
2. Apply: Cut the nozzle to your desired bead size. After that, apply a continuous 1/16″ to 1/4″ (2–6 mm) bead to one surface, ensuring full coverage around bolt holes.
3. Assemble: While the RTV silicone is still wet, immediately assemble the parts. As a result, it becomes tack-free in 8–15 minutes.
4. Tighten: Once one hour has passed, tighten fasteners to the specified torque.
5. Cure: Finally, remove any excess sealant. Full cure is achieved in 24 hours.
Caution:
Uncured sealant may cause skin or eye irritation. Therefore, always use this rtv silicone in a well-ventilated area to reduce exposure. Be careful to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. If contact occurs, wipe off immediately and wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of eye contact, flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes and, if necessary, seek medical attention.
